Welcome aboard. I too got to see some of your "state" from the ALCAN. Count me another one in search of a .357 levergun. Been holding out for a Marlin, but I'm not so determined these days.

I believe there was a den this year less tha 100 yds from this pen. I also think it's a young one pestering me. He caught one hen and carried her 50 yards or more and strew feathers the whole way. Hen got away though. Still kickin.

Re: Mod 94 Prices?
According to Wichester guru Bert Harmon, the 1964 models started with ser. No. 2,700,000.. Looks like that one is a 64 model, so not a Pre-64. It's a little too rough for me at that price, but I'm not there holding it. Sometimes they just tell you "take me home". I just passed on a 71 mode...

I too wish I hadn't gotten huffy when they and Win 94s hit $500. Coulda been sittin pretty now. Of course it's the same with nearly all quality classic guns. It's called inflation. AKA organized crime.

I agree with TV! From what I've been seeing, that rifle been going for $700-$900 I know it's just asking prices, but the cheapest one on GI was 800. The other 336 he had was $700. It had a scope of some kind, but was the late model with the safety. No thanks. I have a feeling the owner knew I would...

Stopped in my no.1 toy store this week and low and behold, there sits not one but two 336's. Hadnt seen one in good shape around in quite a while. This one appears to be one of those "box of shells" models. No carry wear, muzzle, or loading gate wear. Plus some decent figure in the wood. C...

You CAN do it! I smoked, dipped, and chewed for 25 yrs or or so. Not simultaneously lol. Never even missed cigarettes and snuff, but I tremble every time I see a pack of Red...

I like the long 24-27 inch barrels on my old .22s, Win 67,s,, 69's, Rem 41's, 511, etc. They balance really well, and still dont weigh much. The standard 22" bolt action center fire is OK, but I'm leaning toward shorter since I discovered the wonders of lever actions. My Model 70 Featherweight ...

The cheapest one on GI is $1595, so 1200 sounds bout right to me. I would probly pay 1k being a skinflint. I had one for a short while but it was the Anniversary model, engraved, gold etc. Too nice to shoot, plus I was into it cheap so it went. Still would love a shooter.
