I just paid $150 for a box (1000) of Federal large rifle primers. I hated to do it but I really wanted to play with some 45-70 loads. I am just getting back into reloading. Around here I do see some primers advertised for anywhere between $125 and $160 a box. Not a huge cost overall for the big guns...

Pretty sure you can make brass from the 50 Alaskan . Gafs has them for a little over a buck a piece and RCBS has the dies in stock.

I usually don't have too many issues but I did send out two checks the other day and both both got lost. It is possible that someone fished them out of the mail slot but neither showed up after 12 days. I just had to resend them but I sent them certified this time.

Cool video. I have the factory, added later, brake on my 700 Rem .338 Win Mag. I know it is not as powerful as the Lapua but the gun does not really kick much at all. It is however unnervingly loud if you are shooting it off a covered range.

Nothing wrong at all with a #200 bear. I have not had a bear roast for years but remember it being really good. Bears are kind of like pigs. They are a pain to drag, especially if the ground is not level.

the first 86 that i showed is a custom browning made in 1986, and reworked by Ray's Gunsmithing in Colorado springs. i just copied a special order 86 right out of the Winchester book by Madis. i can push 410 grain bullets to right at 2100 fps .. but why do that ? there are easier ways to hurt yours...

I lived in the Victorville from 2003 to 2008. Always seemed like we got a little snow but in 2008 we got quite a lot one storm. No snow in the Valley where I live now but can usually see plenty just up the hill in the Winter.
