Re: Rednecks, Geeks, Naturalists, and Doctors
I know people that have some phobias, OCD, and some with emotional problems that would benefit from seeing a doctor for treatment, but they won't do it because the way "red flag" laws are being pushed in some places. I know they aren't a danger to themselves or others, and they are more w...

Re: Any flintlock riflemen here?
I have to say, flintlock shooting is some of the most satisfying shooting there is once you learn to slow down. If you can shoot a flinter well, your modern gun shooting will improve also. After the follow through required for flintlock accuracy, when you shoot a fast lock like on a bolt action, thi...

Re: I want a lever gun, I think in .357
About 10 years ago in a bout of craziness I sold my like new Marlin 1894 in .357. Now I want another one and, of course, they're not to be found anymore. I do want a side-effect, so the Rossis and Ubertis are out. Is Henry quality worth the price? What recommendations does the campfire have? Too ba...

Re: New Furniture on the Savage 99F
I have a 99F in .243 and it is a sweet shooting rifle. Sort of like shooting a .22 magnum in recoil compared to some of my other rifles. My buttstock has the typical crack in the tang area, but it isn't bad, so I live with it. I did do a little glue job to stabilize it , and it hasn't moved any. I g...

Thanks for the encouraging words. I rarely get good finds like this. I usually hear the dreaded .. "We had four boxes on the shelf for years until this morning, but right before you showed up, some fellow bought all of them..."

Re: Help with .357 magnum bullets in a 35-30...
I also have 35/30-30 in a Marlin. I have not used partitions though for it. I only hunted deer with it and my one experience with partitions and deer(30-06) ended with a wounded deer and the need for tracking and a follow up shot. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED. Could have been a one off experience or not. I ...

Yippee! I just heard back from Nosler, and the guy said there was no speed restrictions on those Partitions. They hold together as fast as you push them. He was also amazed I found some for sale , because they are few and far between. I went back yesterday to the store and bought the rest of them, s...

Help with .357 magnum bullets in a 35-30...
Hello guys, I just purchased a couple boxes of the now discontinued .180 grain Nosler Partitions in .357. I have a 35-30, which has a bit less room for powder than the .35 Rem. and I figured the Nosler would fit the bill for moderate speed deer loads that would open nicely and retain some weight. M...

Re: Savage 99 Tang safety disassembly
I know how you felt. I remember the first time I took my 99 apart. ....lots of little stuff to keep track of. After I did, I got on the 'net and ordered a few extras to keep just in case. Some of the parts you could lose if you sneeze too hard.

Re: AARP, any real advantages?
They will never get me to join them after making that deal with the Democrat crooks. (Obamacare support). I love it when they send me envelopes that don't need stamps......I fill them up with junk mail and enclose a nice note....it costs them some change and makes me feel better.
