Up here in Maine we have next to nothing on the shelves!
5.56 along with pricey 308 seems to be the only ammo that's regularly on the shelves.
Some cheap no name brand in 9mm for $23.99 a box of 50.
The factories are pumping out millions of rounds a day!
Where is all the ammo going?

Johnny, No, don't have any for a k frame.them in n plus a few magnas but my magnas have the diamond in them which makes them a world apart in price.....even have a set of k's for pre ww1. Sorry...if I run across any I'll give them a look see. No problem Six, Ebay has lots of S&W grips for sale....

There was one vintage 1929 Winchester 94 in 32 spl. in about 80% shape.
They wanted $1250.00! I purchased the same rifle, just made in 1937 for half that price a year ago.
Some of the prices are just insane! Then others are fair.
I guess it's who price's the firearms.

What the hell, shoot it! I never see any Colt detective spl. anymore! When I do there beat up pretty bad. The same goes for S&W snub nose any model. There's still hardly any rifle in stock at KTP. They took out two of their isles do to no inventory! A few pricey side by side shotguns and Italian...

I think the Ruger are a hair bigger. My new model Blackhawks in 44 spl. The other one is an Anniversary model 357 mag. The trigger on the 357 is superb! So, I don't know if Ruger put a little more work into their red box Anniversary models. Perhaps the original owner had some trigger work done to it...

5 or 6 inches of snow coming to southern Maine Saturday.
Temputures have been a bit above average this year so far!
Upper teens to low 20 so far, this year. Thats not too bad for Maine in December!

As far as pump shotguns go, I like Winchester 12's and Remington 31's.
I had a model 12 from 1923 in sweet 16 that a buddy talked me out of.
I still have a prewar Remington 31 in 20 gauge.

I have a flattop Blackhawk in 44spl.
It's one of my favorite shooters!
I use pretty common Walnut aftermarket grips.
Nothing to fancy, but it works for me.
It fills my hand a whole lot better than factory black plastic grips.

A good old S&W 66 with a 4-inch barrel is nice!
3 inches would be better, but at two grand for 1 inch less Lenth barrel is outrageous!
A Ruger with a sheriff's length barrel would be perfect for lugging around on your hip.

I would not hesitate to buy a Winchester Trapper if one shows up at the trading post! It would have to be pre safety, top ejection for this lefty. I recently saw a Winchester Wrangler from the 1980's for $1,400! It was a trapper with large loop lever on it. Some type of scroll work on the receiver. ...
