Hey Six, I do like those finger grove combat grips! I know they make them for K frame Smiths. Most likely after market, butt real nice. OldWin posted some photo of his finger grove grips on his S&W's yesterday! Beautiful grips. I always thought the LA Matt was cool! A shotgun blast when you run ...

Re: current ammo situation?
Up here in Maine we have next to nothing on the shelves!
5.56 along with pricey 308 seems to be the only ammo that's regularly on the shelves.
Some cheap no name brand in 9mm for $23.99 a box of 50.
The factories are pumping out millions of rounds a day!
Where is all the ammo going?

Re: My new to me 1987 586-2
There was one vintage 1929 Winchester 94 in 32 spl. in about 80% shape.
They wanted $1250.00! I purchased the same rifle, just made in 1937 for half that price a year ago.
Some of the prices are just insane! Then others are fair.
I guess it's who price's the firearms.

As far as pump shotguns go, I like Winchester 12's and Remington 31's.
I had a model 12 from 1923 in sweet 16 that a buddy talked me out of.
I still have a prewar Remington 31 in 20 gauge.
Nothing better for home defense!
