In bulk I love the CCI Blazer bricks, and Winchester 333 round tins. The really like the CCI Stingers and Velocitors which are the ammo that shoots with 100 reliability in my old Sterling 302 pocket pistol.
I refuse to by Remington Thunderbolts which have a 33% FTF rate.

Re: JimT's post about the 130 grain bullet got me to wondering about 200 grain bullets
Not a real heavyweight but I had a load for cast 180 grain RN gas check from a LEE load. I have to look it up but I believe I used 3031 powder. I gave up that load because I was not confident about the round-nose shape causing a chain-fire. These were wheel weight alloy. Maybe softer 100% lead a bet...

The only time I'm allowed to carry in "The Peoples Republik of Hawaii" is while handgun hunting, so what I carry in the field is my Taurus model 44 stainless steel revolver (44 mag) with 6.5" factory compensated barrel.

That is great to hear. Several years ago when my son was around 12 or 13 years old (he's 35 now) he found a wallet on the ground with cash in it at the Honolulu International Airport. "Variety is the spice of life", and that applies to 22 handguns too. I wonder how it'll stack up against the Ruger SR22. That being said I'm an old fanny burp that just can't like big square trigger guards no matter how practical they may be. I'm a Browning Buckmark/Ruger 22/45 kind of guy.

My dad swore by the original formula "Fluid Film" which was rich in lanolin so much so that you could smell it and see it as it came out thick from the aerosol can almost in a foam. Dad used it on his '03 Springfield, '98 Mauser, and Type 77 Arisaka as well as his 1911 Colt, and model 27 S...
