I agree with all the above. I'd also be checking throat diameter versus the diameter of each chamber. If if comes down to it -- shoot some 5-shot groups "from each chamber", to see if you can isolate an issue. That's what led me to tune-up the cyliner throats of an old GP100 that I had yea...

One thing is for sure -- don't ever use a solvent which has ammonia in it, as I've read that it will lift the plating. As for restoration, I wonder if there's a bright silver Ceracoat (ceramic-based finish -- not sure if I spelled it right...) color that would match closely and be much more durable?...

Also do yourself a favor and get snap caps, the older Browning hammer springs had a tendency to break if left cocked.
