Model 92 question
I have been looking at a model 92 in 45 colt to go with my new vaqueros. I am confused though by the changes in name , ownership, manufacturer etc. of the various offerings. Rossi, Brastech, Puma, Legacy, Taurus, Chiappi, etc. Which ones are current manufacture and how can you tell who manufactured ...

Re: OT - Tell me what you think/know about Ruger Mini 14's
If you really want to tune your mini-14 go to the PerfectUnion.com sight. They can take you step by step on how to make your mini match an AR for accuracy. Things like bedding the stock, working the trigger, smaller gas block tubes, barrel braces, etc. They go thru it all for DIY and can tell you sm...

Re: OT - Coyote question for you ranchers and country folk
Shoot on sight in WVa also. Considerable lamb and wild turkey loss in spring season. Some farmers adopt extreme measures to try an eliminate but from all I have read the only way to get rid of coyotes is to bring in wolves. This would really make farmers happy.

Re: Lever Gun Recoil
Thanks for all the comments. I just got back home so I apologize for responding so late. The Chuck Hawks info is kinda like I am talking about but I was hoping someone might have actually tested some type of muzzle brake for real world results. I have shot 444's and 300mags and both get your attenti...

38-55 vs 375
I don't know if this has already been covered but: Can you load one of the new manufacture 94's in 38-55 up to the same level of the 375 win pressure wise? I guess the real question is if the beefed up receiver on a BB 94 necessary?

Re: OT; But it can apply to leverguns.
I am definitely no expert but I have seen and killed some of my bigger whitetails between 10:00 and 2:00. I allways attributed this to people leaving/returning from lunch and their movement causing a corresponding movement in the deer. At least that gives me a rationale for staying put all day.

Re: Lever Gun Recoil
First, sorry for being so slow with my replies. I don't know where the first one went so I am trying again. Thanks for the link to the recoil calculator. That works pretty neat. Being an engineer I can calculate the impulse/recoil from a certain load. Recoil speed, fps will be dependant on the press...

Lever Gun Recoil
Any one know actual measured recoil of win 94 timber carbines with muzzle porting in 444 and 450 calibers?
