Re: A few old style photos we took over Thanksgiving.

In the original picture, the one that is second from the end is holding a Remington 24 .22. Don't see the name Hezzie very often. My dads name was Hessie, (the Dr. spelled it wrong on his birth certificate). My dad always used a Remington 241 speedmaster. Dave in TX Thanks. If im not mistaken the ....

Great pictures, I cherish the few old family pictures I have. I find it funny the son in law in the center stands out bad, just a whole one of these things is not like the others. Looks to me as though you've confused the makers, that's a Winchester Model 12, the singles look like Iver Johnsons but, they might be marked differently for the hardware store market. You may not get an answer on the MCPD provinance, even if that department happens to have an armorer - since it might be a one-off, i.e. a confiscated or recovered firearm kept & marked for dept use. . Very true. A town like Morgan City would be lucky if they knew what they carried today. :mrgr...

The owner said that he was just told that it was police used.....but has nothing to back it up. That is just the story he got. Said it came from the Morgan City Police Department and was purchased in the 80s. I guess I could call the department and try to find out if they did in fact use them.

I reload for the .45 Colt so that would not be a problem. I have not started reloading for the .357 yet. I need to but have just not got to it yet.

My son can hold the .357 rifle I have a little more steady than the .45 but both he can handle just fine.
