Quick reload for a SA revolver
My first SA revolver - a Ruger Vaquero - should be arriving today and since I am new to SA revolvers, I have been thinking about quick reloads for such a weapon. Is there a special technique to getting your SA revolver filled back up in a hurry if need be? Not that I expect to be in such a situation...

Good points AJMD429. I do have a Rossi 92 in 44MAG and the 629 so a 44SPL or MAG makes a lot of sense to me. I'm pretty set on a single action as I have my 629 for double action duty. Well, I finally got my ESEE Izula II and I couldn't be happier with it. Here's a pic with my EDC pistol, Kahr P380. Definitely my new EDC knife. I have it on right now...conceals amazingly well. I just need to fashion a nice clip onto the sheath so that I can wear it IWB and tuck my shirt around it ...

One of the main reasons I am a HUGE advocate of suppressors is the ability to shoot without damage to your hearing. I love to hunt...no doubt. But when every shot sends my ears ringing with more and more damage, I will gladly lug around the heaviest can on my barrel to save my ears from more damage....

I've been looking into getting a fixed blade EDC (every day carry) knife not to replace my folder but to compliment it. I also have good results with IMR 4895 (42.7gr) and 168gr AMAX bullets. I can easily shoot just over 1" groups at 300 yards with my Remington 700 LTR. I have been meaning to try the Lapua 155gr scenar bullets because the guys over on Snipershide.com rave about them. But those are paper punching...

Well I have it narrowed down to two 629 versions...the 629 Performance Center model with the 2.625" barrel, or the 629 Talo edition with the 3" barrel. I have found them for the same price, I just need to decide which one to get. Any suggestions?

I've pretty much decided on the 629 Performance Center model with the 2.625" barrel or the 629 backpacker with the bear paws on the cylinder. Leaning towards the PC model.

I don't care who you are...DAs are easier and quicker to reload and shoot. In any defensive situation, a quick reload is a high priority. I'm sure there are those who can shoot a SA pretty fast and maybe even reload fairly fast. Not that I am going to try to break any records with fast reloads, but ...
