Us offroaders use a homebrew of antifreeze and alumiseal radiator stop leak for our notoriously leaking beadlock wheels. It doesnt hurt the aluminum wheels and cleanup is a breeze.

I'll be turning 50 in a few months and look like I have another 20 years to go if I don't fall apart.
I'm sure the rules will change before then.

I run a backyard machine shop. I bought a new truck 3 1/2 years ago and it just rolled over 26K. The shop is about 150 ft from the back door. One of the pros of self employment.

Re: Thanks Nate
The screw isn't too long. The problem is Rossi is making the hole in the frame too deep. It seems about half of the gun through here lately have this problem. Unfortunely Rossi's fix is to just leave the screw loose. It's got so bad that I get at least one request a week for lost replacement plugs....

Don't know whether they are the same thread size, but the screws that locate the carrier/lifter have a portion at the end that's not threaded. The screw plug for the lever pin has no extension. I pulled each one of these out one @ a time to compare and they are both longer. The only one that may be...

Re: Thanks Nate
I was just messing with it and with the action open and I tighten the screw it prevents the action from closing. Makes me think I have the wrong screw in the wrong place. The screw I have has an extension on it. Maybe I need to take a bit off the end of the screw?

I did an action job on my Rossi with the help from Nate's DVD and it turned out great. I took it out today and it works much much better. I couldn't have done it with out the help. I do have one issue tho. When I tighten the lever pin accesses screw down it jams the action. If I back it out a smidge...

Re: Blazer alum shells in a lever?
I'll wait till I work over the gun to try them. (Steve's DVD on the way) I can use them in the blackhawk if they give me fits in the rossi. I have 2 boxes that I bought many moons ago. I'll stay clear of them in the future.

I would be willing to bet the plastic is susceptible to temperature as well. Being so close to the barrel after a few rounds it would expand and create issues.
