I agree with Hobie on this one. Hopefully you get a good deal on the rifle, but don't do the deed because of the scope. Leupold does have a lifetime warranty, but It will cost a minimum of 100.00 for them to just look at it anymore. After all my blabbing it may not even be a Leupold.

I know a guy who purchased a .325 short mag in a BLR, he had the rifle a month. Said it had a bit too much muzzle jump. :lol: :lol: From what I read in the hunting magazines the barrels on the short mags do not last long either.

Congratulations! on the new rifle. I may be way in the cold on this one, but I don't recall anyone posting any pet loads for this caliber. A good friend of mine has an older 336, and just loves it. He swears there's no tracking needed. He shoots factory loads.

Interesting stuff guys. Makes it even more interesting knowing the fact that the long standing Whitetail World record Jordan Buck taken in the early 1900's was taken with a 25-20, although the buck was hit a few times before recovered.

I love the Patriot colors on the Cricket's stock. Is the rifle a single shot? My Grandfather always had a single shot .22 on hand at the cabin until someone broke in and stole it back in the late 70's. Never replaced it, but after seeing yours I would like to do so.

Looks as if the tree started dying before it was cut. You can see some bark falling off with the wood starting to dry. Maybe only have to wait 4 1/2 years instead of 5 :D
