Marlin Model 60DLX 50th Anniv.
I bought one today at BassPro Shop for $199.95. The clerk said they are only making 1000 of them and mine is under 500 is that true? It's real pretty and real cool. I manually ran a couple of CB-Longs thru it in the back yard they fed and functioned fine. The walnut stock is a dandy. I stuck a 1.5-4...

Made Some Hawken Smoke
T/C Hawken .50 with standard 1:48 factory barrel. I'd never shot this one before. .490 roundball, pillow tickin patch, Birddog6 patch lube, Windex wipe between shots, 60 grains of 3f Goex. First shot was almost exactly in the middle of the lower left bull. It was very hard to load until I switched t...

Since Winchester shut down prices have been high. Personally I think the post-1964 Winchesters are very poor quality firearms. I love my Marlins and I have 9 of them. Marlin prices may climb since the company is moving to New York. Personally I'm glad Remington bought Marlin. There is no better valu...

Re: Blackhorn 209?? Anybody try it?
It's not corrosive because it's non-corrosive just like smokeless powder. The clean-up is done with Hoppe's #9 just like smokeless powder. It's expensive but the fact that I don't have to clean the same day I shoot is a plus. It's very hard to light and I wouldn't try it in a traditional muzzleloade...

One of the few scopes that will handle the .500S&W Handis recoil is the Nikon Prostaff 2-7X32. They are inexpensive on eBay. Peeps are ok for paper but don't work well in the woods.
