Headspace works the same on anything that spaces from datum. It's from bolt face to datum, deeper bolt will still be the same distance for GO as a shallower bolt. With a bolt that is for arguments sake is .050" deep will have a chamber that is the same .050" shallower chamber. If a .050 bo...

Griff, I really didn't think those were solid brass, but the few mentions of tang sights being tweaked got my brain working and I was over thinking it. Fine wire also works great for shimming, easier to work with as well. Seriously, I do NOT own a Winchester of any flavor. Why? I dunno... Seems like...

The x39 head spaces on the datum of shoulder, only issue with a deeper bolt is more of the case head being 'unsupported'. Not an issue as the bolt lock up takes care of that.

Years ago I shot many ducks with my Hi-Standard 410 , skeet choke! Then I got my first 28 ga, a Remington 11-48. Shot all kinds of birds, clays, bunnies & squirrels with it. When I'm on the clays field I shoot a 12 but hunt with small gauges.

So I have an idea Griff- try that mix in other moulds! If more moulds have same issue then you know it's the mix. If not then you have a problem with that specific mould(s).
If it's the mix, pour ingots and sell it off.
Or just use it for plinking ammo and send it down range!
