Re: On Topic - C. Sharps Arms 1875 Rifle Give away (well almost)
Rjohns94, When I first saw this incredible offer, I was one of the first to say count me in. However, after rereading the offer and thinking about this for awhile I would like to ask that you: Please withdraw my name from considration While I don't have a 45/70 and would dearly love to own a Sharps,...

Re: Strange marking on Winchester 92 Carbine?
Like JRD, I have a 1916 vintage with the exact same markings, mine is also a Century Arms, St. Albans marked gun. Mine is in a little worse condition, way to much polishing before the reblue. I have not been able to find any information about the gun either, please post any additional information yo...

Re: OT - Tell me what you think/know about Ruger Mini 14's
As others have said, mine is as reliable as the day is long but accuracy is just okay. I have Ruger 20 and 30 round magazines that work great and I guess I was lucky as I have about 4 after market mag.s that work well also.

Re: ON TOPIC - One more time, a question??
I'm sure that each of us will have different opinions but the .357 is a great woods gun, if you live in the East. If I lived in the plains or Mt. West if would loose some of its luster. You're asking for opinions so if it were me, I would ditch the 9mm stuff, keep the .357 and carry the revolver. Ph...

Re: Dove tail angle for Marlin & Win.
For anyone who may be interested, I found some information at Brownells. The standard dove tail angle is 60 degrees. The 65 degree angle is used on some after market sights for the 1911 handgun. Knowing the correct angle is essential for fitting a new sight. I had both 60 & 65 degree files, I ha...

Dove tail angle for Marlin & Win.
Does anyone know the angle within the Dove Tail, specifically the front sight dove tail, for Marlins and Winchesters? I believe it is either 60 or 65 degrees.

In my opinion the best inexpensive photo editor is Adobe Photoshop Elements. I think is on version 8 at this time. It will do just about anything you want and is not to difficult to use. You can find it for about $80.00. As others have mentioned their are some others available, just depends on what ...

Unfortunatly this is becoming a real problem in Florida. Many exotic breeds are now established in South Florida and their range is expanding northward. My friends at the FWC don't forsee us getting rid of them either.

Bullet size for 1916 Vintage Mdl. 92 in 44-40?
Can anyone give me a heads-up on the correct bullet size for a Winchester Mdl. 92, vintage 1916, in 44-40? I see bullets available in .427, .429 and .431, what size are you using when handloading? I think the original load was with a .427 bullet but so far I have only shot commerical cowboy loads, w...

Winchester Mdl. 1892 Century Arms?
Hi Folks, long time lurker here but now I have a question maybe someone can help with. I recently acquired a Winchester Mdl. 1892 in 40 WCF and the serial number would say it was made about 1918. When cleaning up the gun I noticed, on the receiver under the lever, its stamped Century Arms St. Albans...
