I've only been around here for a couple years and I haven't seen anything referring to a collection of your stories. Do you have book or collection of your writing that is available to us? I'd like to have some of your stories to read when I'm not playing Hi tech (surfing).
Thanks,

Re: is this what getting old is like ?

Re: OK - what's the best crimping die for .44 Magnum?
For my 44s I just use the Lee roll crimp die, with seating and crimping separate When using H110 or WC820 I use a heavy roll crimp. I have no COL issues with my Blackhawk or Puma so I just crimp in the groove when shooting 42944 or 429421 Lyman boolits from my molds. It's hard to say what exactly &q...

Does anyone have data from Ranchdog? When I bought my RD mold there was load data on his website, and I printed (and promptly lost) it. I too, have the 44 265 RD that I originally bought for my Puma 44 with oversize bore (.432"), and it shoots great from my Super Blackhawk too (sized to .430&qu...

OT (sorta)- Primers Humor?
I was just cruising my regular gun related sites and found some primers for sale on Gunbroker. Great (not!). They were asking $65.00 per 1,000 for CCI primers! All sizes. I didn't bother to note the seller 'cause I'm not going to participate! I saw some localy for $30 and passed because I thought th...

Re: Levergun vs. Pumpgun- Muscle memory the same or not?
If I understand correctly, you're asking about muscle memory and training. I know the movements are different, but I'd say there is no different in learning/training. But then, one (the pump) is operated with the off/weak hand/arm while the other (lever) is operated by the strong hand/arm. Also the ...

I believe "Helm" is a position rather than a thing. When "at the helm" you have control of the ship. You may be controlling the ship with a tiller or wheel while at the helm. Hydraulics, cables, and today electrical control (fly by wire) are what are used to "connect" t...

I think the "combat" additions are for looks only; to attract a certain buyer (mall ninja or psuedo-militia types). To some they (bayoneys, lasers, flashlights, red dot sights, etc.) look "cool". For a professional (security, LEO, etc.) all these gadgets probably have a use, but ...

If you have an arbor press handy the hammering can be cut down quite a bit. The hardest part, the most hammering, is sizing (for me doing .44 mag.). An arbor press will just push the case into the die easily. I enjoy going "retro" once in a while and will load up some .44s. When hammering ...
