My in-laws were getting packed up to move and found in a hidden drawer of his father's rolltop desk a P-38. Apparantly, his uncle drove a tank in WW2 and liberated the gun in Germany somewhere. He scratched his name and "Sept '44" inside the rightside grip. They live in Southern Utah, wher...

I ordered the Shiloh when he started Boy Scouts and said he wanted to go to Eagle. 7 years later, it arrived. Interesting idea. If I lived by myself, meaning there would be no other family member to have to know how to use the rifle, I think a Remington 870. Their reduced recoil 00 buck is great out to about 20 yards, which is as far as I will need to shoot in a home defense arena. If I was restricted to a ...

I hope that he stays with it all the way to Eagle. My son got his Eagle rank this past March and it was something to see. He also happened to get his 1st levergun that night: a '74 Shiloh Sharps carbine in 45-70. The Scouting program is great for teaching boys things that are really important.
