Re: OT: Does anyone have a 1911 style that never malfunctions?
I have a Kimber Ultra Carry II. Never a malfunction, and I've run a wide variety of ammo through it. Butter smooth trigger.

Re: Rossi 92 safety removal.
Thank you, Steve. Sounds like I might even be able to follow the directions, mechanically challenged and all. But I'm getting better from having learned how to field-strip Glocks, a Kimber Ultra Carry II (even with a paper clip), a Ruger LCP, and a Keltec P3AT. You may wonder why this is so difficul...

Re: Rossi 92 safety removal.
Thank you, sir, for this information. If I decide to order the plug from you, can I install it myself, or do I have to send it to you?

Re: Rossi 92 safety removal.
Maybe I better do something about mine. The day I bought the rifle I switched it from safe to fire. When I did so, I noticed that it was difficult, took pressure, and there was a noticeable "click" when it finally moved to fire. I haven't touched it since, and it shows no signs of moving. ...

Re: .38 Spl. man stopper?
The most accurate hand gun I've ever owned was the Model 10 issued to me by the Kern County Sheriff's Office (CA) a long, long time ago. And it wasn't new, either. Most of the blueing was worn off. I was just a kid and didn't know any better, but six months later I made the department's pistol team ...

Re: Browning BLR - Tell me about them
Local gun shop has an older Browning Lightning BLR in .270 with Leupold scope mounts with two mags for $450. Shows some use (previous own glued a 1/4" leather pad to the left top and side of the stock, it's actually rather well done). It's got a long barrel and of course I forgot to measure it....

Re: Buying Guns in Cal.(kind of long, sorry)
I'm glad I read this. I was on the point of shipping UPS a Marlin 336c 30-30 carbine to a friend of mine in Northern California. Actually to a FFL gunshop near his town. They're cheaper here than in CA; now I know why, and I seriously don't want to get in trouble with the Feds. Bottom line, if he wa...

Re: Model 92 Metamorphosis
Forgot to mention that mine has the standard lever. And thanks, Hobie for the Scotchbrite tip, but I think I'll just leave it alone for now. AJMD429: Again thanks for the suggestion about bead blasting. Unfortunately, my buddy with the fancy bead-blasting machine isn't speaking to me since I made an...

Re: Model 92 Metamorphosis
Last week I bought a Rossi M92 stainless in 38/357. I didn't really want stainless as out here in the desert there's hardly any humidity and I don't plan on carrying it IWB. But that's all they had and the price was right. What can I expect from this rifle in terms of reliability, glitches, etc.? Co...
