Re: Any love for the.30 Carbine?
I have used M-1s and M-2s but never bought one thinking the 5.56 had more power and was a lighter carbine. Please remember I was the hard-headed SF Guy who carried a M-14 in Iraq because I wanted more hitting power. I understand where you’re coming from . I suppose my affection for the Carbine is m...

Re: Any love for the.30 Carbine?
I went through a phase fairly recently in which I was totally infatuated with M1 Carbine's. At one time I had a dozen of them in my safe, now I'm down to 9 I think it is, which includes seven USGI, an Iver Johnson and an older Universal. I loaded, tested and fired many hundreds of handloads at 100, ...

Re: Browning 92 finicky
Quite interesting, I'm watching to see the fix. My new made Winchester feeds SWCs fine in special brass, but of course they are too long for magnum brass. It feeds round flat style bullets good in magnum brass. I've considered doing some modifications to get the acceptable OAL just a but longer, as...

Re: 44 Special.
Good read, for sure, and I agree with the loads ability. I bought my first .44 Special a little over 10 years ago, a Ruger Flat Top Blackhawk, and of course went straight to the reloading bench and proceeded to load a handful of the Keith load. Impressive, to say the least. https://i.imgur.com/AxpU5...

Re: New SSA Made In The USA
Yep, very nice looking gun, and made in America. But being retired and on a pension, if I were to save up, I'd get the real thing. Gun Genie has a Colt SSA for just a little more (about $100.00)... In the mean time I'll just shoot my "economy" Cimarron SSA. I can pretend it's a Colt when ...

Re: Cimarron SA 45 Colt.
I'll tell you the one thing I appreciated about the Pistolero, Pietta took the time to incorporate the replacable recoil shied in the frame.

Re: Cimarron SA 45 Colt.
I understand elevation variations with different loads (what bullet/load is a SA "regulated" for?). Basically, I was wondering if Cimarron/Uberti revolvers were assembled well enough for the bullets to land somewhere close to what yer pointing at (some imports are not really good shooters...

Re: Cimarron SA 45 Colt.
Just like I said, some essobee would chime in with the inevitable operator error rigmarole......again, I counter with the why of the invention of adjustable sights. A properly assembled revolver should shoot relatively close where windage is concerned. Think about it; If a straight barrel with a go...

Is the Pistolero you're looking at like this?: http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h6/308Scout/Auctions/Right%20full%20cartridges_zpssw7yeszv.jpg If so, it's a Pietta. I bought this one earlier in the year and try as I might, could never get it to shoot worth a flip, so I sold it. Not an indictment on...

Re: S.O.S.- Mayday- Help - update
1992 Nissan pickup owner here. I washing the motor a few nights ago, with the motor running, and it suddenly died (no, I didn't spray water in or near the air intake). A cursory search found the wire on the coil had been knocked loose by the water pressure. It wasn't completely off and had I not giv...

Re: If anyone has any doubts - 44WCF /44-40 on deer
So....... Did anyone harvest a deer this year with the vintage .44-40? I do know that Rowdy got another one this year. Not as big as the one shown in the 1st post but another 1 shot kill with the '73 and black powder. :D http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=39912.0;attac...
