tang sight cant

I installed a Lyman #2 on my Winchester 94. I had to drift the front sight about 1/8" to the left to get it sighted in on paper. can you shim the sight to get it centered? how do you keep the shim from comming out the side?

OK, I put a Williams 5D sight on my Marlin 1895CB and took her out to the range today. Load is a 450 gr cast bullet at 1500 fps. I went to get it on paper at 25 yards adn ended up bringing the rear sight about 3/4 of the way up! did I do something wrong here? I can't immagine getting a front sight t...

I was reading in another topic that the front sights have to go up when peep sights are instaled, does that go for tang sights as well? I picked up a used NRA centennial rifle that I am planning on putting a tang on and need to know if I should order a new front as well.

MN DNr woun't let you cary durring deer archery, only durring bear archery. They have put out press releases banning carry in state parks but there is some debate if they can do that or not, they did anyway. I guess untill someone challenges it in court we will never know for sure.

My Great Uncle used to use the .30-40 for hunting everything from moose to elk to deer. Had plent of heads on the wall to show for it. Brass is availible from Winchester and Remington. Recoil is very mild.
