I'm happy with the results overall. Seeing as i was shooting from a rickety bench in the back of the truck. And the fact that including the purchase price of the rifle, I've got about 400 bucks in the whole thing. I had the scope and Aimpoint already.

I have a twenty or so year old SA mil-spec. It has an NM serial number and it also has a two piece barrel. I've done a few mods but left the barrel as it shoots great and is very reliable. I wouldn't give it any worry if you have a two piece barrel. If there ever is a problem, SA has great customer ...

I've owned three different ones over the years (none now ) and none would do 1.5moa. That said, they were all the older ones but would shoot well if kept cool. They are super reliable with minimal maintenance and stone-drag tough though. My .02

Winter project
I've had some extra time this winter so I dug into the project pile with the idea of actually finishing something. Several years ago I bought an 8/43 mfd Smith Corona 1903A3. Some dufus drilled and tapped it and cut the barrel just behind the front sight. It wore a synthetic stock and a 3.5-10x50 BS...

One day during practice I drew and fired and the recoil plug exploded, blowing the recoil springs out the front. A minor fix but on a carry gun potentially deadly. I am convinced the toothed and slotted plunger is a weaker design. Maybe that's the reason I upgraded my recoil spring and guide to the...

Mainehunter, You got a good one! I've always liked the 64 because my grandfather carried one as a warden in the late 30's to early 40's. I started on straight-grips so they feel more natural.
