if...IF this is an original Marlin COWBOY rifle D&T on the left side of the frame for receiver sights it has a Badger BBL and it worth a damnsite more than ANY Marlin 44MAG 1894 carbine.

YES it did . I had 20/400 vision before the surgery and 20/15 when it was all over. With my shooting glasses I have 20/10 vision in both eyes now. Iron sights are so clear it is ALMOST spooky. Yep Buck, my H&A HERITAGE 45 rifle sat right at 2000fps with 75grs of FFG under a tight patched ball and was highly accurate out to 100 yards after which it went pretty well kaput.

I decided to go with TERRY'S suggestion in O-1 steel as an initial option. You made an excellent choise, Sir. The first thing I did with my CS-TM in O1 was to blue the blade with OXPHO-BLUE. NUMRICH Arms had those underhammer pistols and rifles. BOTH are the ONLY totally American designed guns. My old H&A HERITAGE model 45 caliber is a tackdriver and a killer of profound proportion I kid you NOT !

Of all my big knives nothing NOTHING beats my Cold Steel TRAILMASTER and I've beat the stuff out of it with no mercy. I also have a long time love affair with the BUCK 119, 120, and 124 knives. The latter is a ringtailed tooter I'll tell you.

I think the original thought on this post is correct. Black Powder is a " powder "[ it all goes BOOM now ! ] and smokleless is a Propellent as it burns progressively.

IN FIFTY YEARS, I've never had a 45ACP pistol that did not shoot the Lyman 452374 to beat the band. Using the same charge as the GI issue 45ACP ball ammunition the FPS was right at 800 to 825 and boy, did I win money matches with that load in the Colt NM 45.
