IMO we're missing the critical piece of information. His reloads were showing separation, not the commercial brass which actually wrecked the rifle. My old truck sits for long periods. I wired a battery switch in to prevent it from running down. How about finding a Browning M-95 in .30-06 (even .30-40 Krag)? That way you have five shots, pointed bullets - such as the Barnes or other premium bullet, and all the power you need. Those are nice handling rifles, well balanced and fast. Otherwise maybe a Winchester reproduction in .405 Winchester.
