Re: "Just how paranoid ARE you...???"
I now live in one of those areas that I could walk to my mail box (1/2 mile) with a rifle and not only would no one notice... probably not one person would see me. But after 22yrs of police work..... I've learned that victims are victims because they were not prepared or not willing..... 100% of hom...

Re: Any LEOs want to share lever action patrol carry stories
While I didn't carry a levergun on patrol, a couple of decades ago I did respond to a call of a domestic disturbance where the male unleashed a 30-30 Winchester on his girlfriend and then turned it on himself. While the scene was quite a mess.... striking the female in the base of the neck at just a...

Re: Developed a new load for my 38-55 today, how and why
I found that 26 - 26.5grs of H-322 is a low pressure load but will still drive a 245 bullet through more than 20" of penetration on an antelope and is very accurate. I think this load is in 1300-1400fps area. I also found that 9.5grs Unique was also very accurate out of my Marlin.

Re: I'd Like Your Opinions On An RV, Please
I just went through a similar quest. I wanted an RV of some type and was looking for something that I could drive cross country twice a year. At first I looked at travel trailers, I then pulled a 24' enclosed vehicle hauler across the country and it was a pain to pull into places..so many places I w...

Came very close to moving to the Jamestown area in the mid-90s. At the time we were looking at a 1700sqft home on 51 acres (26 wooded/25 tillable) a nice 3 story new england style barn a corrugated metal weilding shop and a natural gas well on the property...all for $92,000. Re: Just A Plug For ‘Stormy Kromer’
This year was my first for Stormy Kromer.... I always had the imitations, that had earflaps tucked into the hat. I found Cabela's had SK for 40% off so I bought an original with goretex lining and a rancher. I was disappointed with the original as the flaps don't quite cover the ears very well, I lo...
