I can't tell for sure from the photos I see here, but are you guys showing full length 1894's or the 16.5 inch P model?

Re: Older Pic Cowboy
I live and ride here in AZ, I own two ponies and ride every day. I am a Southwest history buff too. Not only does the saddle horn configuration bespeak a Southwest origin, bu so does the cowbpy's flat brim hat.

Re: puma 16" 44 mag
Now that I have seen one, in a photo at least, I know this will be my next buy. Can I ask what it cost? I have the full length rifle made by Rossi, an exact 1873 replica, in blued steel, .45 Colt. An awesome gun.

Re: Some Overlooked Levergun Films
One of the best I have seen for really great and authentic lever action shooting was "Riders Of The Purple Sage" starring Ed Harris in about the late 90's. This is about the 4th film production of the Zane Grey novel and it was Harris' first western.

Re: Trapper for home defense
I have a 20 gauge SxS with the lminimum legal length barrels - a coach gun, some call it. In the house it's loded with bird shot to reduce the over penetration risk, and I also keep a Vaquero in 45 Colt next to my bed. While I agree that soldiers and policemen sweep buildings with long guns all the ...

Thanks for the tips, boys. If I can't find a Marlin, does anyone know if Rossi or maybe winnie make one?

I'm looking for the Marlin 1894 44 mag carbine with 16.5" barrel. If anyone has one they would like to sell, or knows of one for sale, please so advise.
