Re: RFK did NOT pick Gabbard - - - so now what...???
Yes I think Tulsi could bring Trump some votes and is not likely to turn any significant number away that are already inclined to vote for him. As for Kennedy, I think his candidacy hurts Biden way more than he can affect Trump and I believe that is what he wants for some reason. I am not convinced ...

348 and 356 are probably the closest in SAAMI cartridges for a tube fed gun. A 33 on a 444 Marlin case should get you there too, may have to shorten cases a tad.

I always felt like I missed out on the 356 Winchester and thought I might pick up a 338 Marlin when they debuted, with dies, brass and bullets too of course. I held a beautiful MX rifle but didn’t buy it. Shortly after, Marlin sold out to Remington, 338 was out of production and hard to find. I did ...

Re: The Term "pistol" ....
When growing up in the 70s and 80s, I heard the term pistol to refer to any handgun. When semiautomatics became dominant towards the late eighties, the gun press seemed to reserve the term pistol to these semiautomatics, with revolvers distinguished from the term, and handguns referring to both plus...

My aunt who isn’t old, probably in her late fifties at the time, told my dad a few years ago she couldn’t pull the trigger on her Charter Arms 38. He bought her a 380 EZ. He gave me the 38 not long before we found out he was terminally ill. It’s nice for the pocket. It is hard to say with casual gun...

Re: First Guns for newbies
I think many women choose a small gun because it is light, cute, and fits their hand. Then they find it is too small to shoot well, hard to rack, recoils too much etc. I think many men buy guns that are a bit big because they shoot well, hold lots of ammo, looks cool etc. Then they won’t carry them ...

The gummy tips do have a substantially higher BC in smaller rifle calibers with the higher SD like 25 to 35 caliber. The handgun version or even the big rifle versions in 44 and 458 just do not bear this out. Plus, weights are limited because of length limitations, which introduces the need for diff...

Aluminum receivers
I have been seeing 1892 Browning pattern guns with aluminum receivers out of Turkey on YouTube. Given how the 92 locks via two steel lugs on either side the bolt rear and against the rear of the receiver, do you guys think the aluminum will hold up or give headspace issues eventually?

Not sure if the 1894 Marlin or 92 Winchester designs are big enough. If either or both are, I think extraction could be worked out. I think the cartridge would be interesting in a repeating carbine.

My full size CDP (Aluminum frame) has never had a malfunction. Both hands, either hand, dirty Russian steel cases, soft swaged lead bullets, JHPs, fmj, does not matter. They get a lot of flack as a brand, but my 1911 is a great pistol.

I don’t think it will hurt anything to seat the bullet deeper and crimp because, as you can see the Hornady brass on the left has no crimp. As long as your pressure doesn’t run too high from the additional compression. FWIW Hornady recommends brass be trimmed to 1.240” for their pointy 140s. I thin...

I think your rifle is almost certainly a 303, as said above 303 will not fully seat in a 308 chamber. I believe the Enfield action is too short for ‘06 conversion. If you really want to be sure, maybe take it to your LGS and have them check it..
