357 lever gun 16 vs 20 inch barrel

Guys I have been itching to get a 357 lever gun again.

Cant decide between 16 in or 20 inch.

Your input would be helpful?

some great info! I want to thank everyone. Hey is it really that important to slug the barrel and cylinder throats for a revolver? Re: looking for 357 load recommendations for my rossi m92

You might want to try some 180 gr bullets in your Rossi before you buy a mold. The Rossi has a 30" twist and if 180's are accurate at all it will be at max loadings(1500-1700 fps). At the velocity you want to shoot at (1100-1300) I'd be surprised if there is any accuracy past 50 yds. Marlin an...

yep I am thinking of taking everyone's bullet design suggestions buy the various designs and weights to work up loads. I never really had given 180 grain much thought as I thought it would be to heavy and if pushed to 12-1300 fps would be a little much for fast follow up shots. I will have to give i...

57 what you described will work with some guns and not others. Most controlled round feed rifles wont chamber and fire less they pick up the round from a mag you would have to check the specs on a rifle. A BLR is not a CRF its a push feed so you can drop one in the chamber and fire a 99 is a CRF ri...

Re: .308 help?

Get the BLR and a few extra mags. I usually carry two extras when hunting, and a few loose rounds. If you run the BLR dry, you can throw one in the chamber and close the action, but you can also change the mag out, very quickly, for a fresh loaded one. That's about as good as it gets. You can't top...
