Re: Making a great 92 better
Mine did that also, took 2 trips to the smith to get it stopped. He drilled the hole for the screw that goes thru the mag tube into the barrel deeper into the barrel. That and a longer, hardened screw seems to have fixed the problem for me. It's been ok for a couple of years now with out any issues....

Re: 338 ME or 35 Rem
I have 3 35 Rem's and a 338 MXLR. At 150 yd or less the 35 will do anything you ask it to do, will do it well and not much recoil. The 338 will do the same at longer ranges and has a suprisingly mild recoil. The 338 is to good to disappear in 10 years, not worried about that, and the 35 has been aro...

Re: OH NO, BANNED AGAIN, THIS TIME BY THE RUGERFORUM.NET....
I don't post here often, but having read Mr Murbach's articals for years in the past, (don't see much written any more), and will read ANYTHING written by Taffin and Linebaugh, I have to say that forum had lost a valueable asset when Mr Murbach was banned. If it were me, I wouldn't bother ever going...

Re: .357 Mag terminal performance from a carbine
Very good testing. I bought 1,000 of the Rem 158gr SP from Midway a year or more ago and they shoot great out of my 3 Handi's, the Marlin 1894C and my Rossi. I have since reamed the 3 Handi's to 357 max and will have to see what will work for them now. They still shoot the mags as well as they did b...

Re: M92 Raw Materials that Shoot
I think yer gonna find the Rossi grows on ya. I just picked up my 4th, a stainless Trapper in 454 Casull. Needs polished up to be smoother, but came with Williams Firesights that my old eyes can use. I bought a new 357 mag with the 24" Octagon barrel that I had to put a taller front sight on an...

Re: .454 Puma ?
Not from the factory. Have you got one of these badboys Wyr? I just picked up another one, a 16" stainless. Also have one blued with 20" barrel, really like both of them. Lotta power in light easy to carry package. Used my 44 mag Puma to take a few deer in the past, and have one in 357 wit...

Re: 454 Levergun
I just picked up my second one, a 16" Trapper, Stainless. The old one is a 20" blued model. Have run Hot 45's thru it and 454's as well. They are a light powerhouse that is a joy to carry. DP

Re: Marlin "Outfitter" in 444
I've got a 444P and love it. Have a Handi rifle in 444 Marlin as well, the cartridge is excellent and the Marlin is SWEET! It's not any louder to me shooting but with the ports, anyone to the side of ya is gonna be moving back and giving ya dirty looks. DP
