I like the NIV...when I was a new Christian I tried the KJ version but found it hard to understand. My wife bought me an NIV Student Bible, I still carry that one today, after 21 years. It is very ragged, held together with duct tape binding, and a home made leather cover, has lots of hand written no...

How long do you have to leave the cat tied to a fence before a fox finally shows up? Don My Uncle used to do that with one of Grandma's cats. Only he was baiting crows. After staking the cat, he would blow a few times on crow call. After letting the scout crows pass, there would soon be a bunch of ...

. This was from about 75 yards with a 4x scope. I now use 43gr, just cause it's a nice round number. Get around 2150 fps with it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/engrtobe/444-web.jpg That's the load I used when I still had my .444 about 20 yrs ago....it's a good one. It will turn concrete bl...

Oh, if this had only come up 25 yrs ago. I spent many hours in the seat of a tractor working my Granpa's farm, and his small herd of herefords. Then I was trained in the plumbers and pipefitters union after high school. I have always loved the outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. But now at 57 yrs...

The last myth buster I saw, they were trying to re-create the late Gunnery Sgt. Hathcocks bullet thru the scope shot on an adversary. They were not using the same kind of scope that the Sgt. shot thru. They were using modern scope. They couldn't re-create the Sgt.s shot, and so much as called him a ...

I was able to completely pull the engine, rebuild and reinstall the engine in a couple of days on my first car, course that was a 1951 Willys jeep with a flathead 4 cylinder. My mechanical apptitude on vehicles has come to a halt since they went to so much computer stuff. ...

Try rabbits and worms. Believe it or not there is a commercial market for red worms. You can use the rabbit stuff to feed them. I had some literature a few years ago about worm farms, doesn't take a lot of room or hard work, and if I recall the money wasn't too bad either. There also seems to be a go...

New guns are always a good idea, I like Marlin 39's. That said, don't junk your M60. A friend of mine has one that wouldn't fire more than 2 rounds without jamming. I took it home and broke it down to all it's parts, gave it a really good cleaning, check the chamber for burs, then lubed it with ligh...
