Re: HUNTING RANGE: HOW FAR CAN YOU EXPECT TO SHOOT?

Where I normally hunt deer are usually within 75 yards. There are a few spots on the property where a shot( down a logging road) can be 225 yards. The few times I have seen deer way down the logging road they looked tiny compared to my front sight.

I have shot 2 deer with that bullet. Both fired from a Marlin 1894. One in the neck at 30 feet and one through both lungs and far side shoulder at maybe 50 feet. I didnt recover either bullet. Wound was as expected. They are not the most accurate bullets out of my rifle, but they are acceptable.

I fish a couple of times every week. I see FWC officers once a month or so. They walk down the line telling every one to open coolers and show any fish they may be holding. I learned during my second month as a resident of Florida that if you keep a fish that is 3/4 inch too small; it will cost you ...

That was my thought Nath.
I dont think any of the commonly used sabots will hold up to 3000fps.

Just curious.
Why do you want to use aluminium bullets?

Also you may want to ask over at Savage forums in their muzzlelading section.

All it does it stop some bad processes, so your AV or malware software can find and remove the bad stuff. sometimes you have to run a scan multiple times.

When I first purchased my Remington 870 I bought several different acceptable loads (00-bb). I patterned all of them and settled on Winchester Supreme XX copper plated 00 buck in 3 inch shells. This one held together good enough out to 50 yards. I ended up buying 20 boxes. I still have plenty left. ...
