The bottom fell out of the Walnut market a few years back. Cherry logs went way up, and Walnut went down. Walnut has been making a come back over the past year or so. But it is no where near it's high's. They left the most valuable piece of wood in the forest. Walnut is Bi-Symmetrical in growth. Tha...

I use 40.0 grains of RL-7 under a 405 grain cast bullet for about 1600 fps. This is my favorite load. It shoots well in all my 45-70's. Tom.

I would be nice to have a large budget. $100,000 is a good bit. But I wrote quite a few $50,000 ammo orders. It does not take long to add up. One of the best items you can take with you is a "Letter of Credit" from a bank. A LOC cuts through all the red tape, real fast. It is best to have ...

I have a degree from WVU in Wood Science. Log homes can be either good or bad. Basically it depends on two criteria. 1. Type of logs used(species). 2. A lot of it depends on what rifle you are loading it for(determines what type or even if you need to crimp). The Lyman "M Die" will be the best die you ever buy if you get it. This die is infinitely adjustable and does the least amount of brass working. Any good sizing die will work. If yo...

IMO it is really a simple process. Just add your WW in to a pot and constantly skim the garbage off the top. When your pot get's close to full, flux it twice, then pour 1/2 to 3/4 of the pot into ingot's. It only takes a few seconds for lead to melt in a hot pot. Skim everything else off and do not ...
