Re: I'm an idiot

Welcome to the club! Reloaded 45 colt to TC contender/ Ruger levels to shoot in my Interarms 1892, bit of confusion on my part, at any rate they were way to hot. Went back to the manual only to see that I'd missed the 45 colt rifle section which was my original intended loads :? .

Re: Understanding Engineers

Was replacing the blower motor on my F 150 and unknowingly had a high impedance air gap which resulted in the 4-wheel drive no longer functioning. Checked fuses, relays so on couldn't get it to work. Looking at parts on Rock Auto saw a picture of the control module then my two brain cells collided, ...

I bought one not too long ago and have shot 50-60 rounds through it. It seems to be smoothing out just fine. Originally a 25-20 bored to 32-20 no bluing to speak of and wide checkering if you could call it that but I have a picture of him ,his dog , rifle and the buck he shot in the back of his truck. The rather small and hard butt on the No 5 doesn't help matters. Every one will hear you shooting too. It's not as much as the 45-70 loaded to lever gun specs but it will have people looking at you at the range.

The holes are 8-40 pitch I believe and I think a tang sight from a 1893 can be modified to work .The originals I've seen posted sat back so there was no interference from the bolt but the sight I have does interfere. It was from a 1893. Wish I could remember who told all this. :?

The early BLR magazines , pre 81 models , are hard to come by (hence expensive if you do ). I don't think that is a problem with later ones.IMO the long actions one are bulky defeating the purpose. Love mine in .308 but it does kind of puts a crimp in needs department for another rifle.

The outfits mentioned for the liner would be than likely be able to handle export and a good smith could install it without any outward appearance change of the rifle once done.

I think the first problem would be going through customs, if so you may want to see if someone like Green mountain Barrels can export one to him. Hopefully someone will come along with a better idea of customs rules.

Had wondered about that and thought that one piece firing pin was more of a model 1894 fix for cowboy action shooting. My rifle is basically a 1893 which doesn't have the later lever safety.I'm concerned about the lock up as well as my "cure" for it  .
