the whole assembly does protrude beyond the muzzle, but the 5-inch section past the brass fitting is just a hollow tube meant to protect the glass from muzzle blast.

Marlin 1895CB with Malcolm scope

Just got this back from the gunsmith. I've had the 1895CB for a while, but he mounted the Malcolm scope for me. Before you ask, no, I haven't shot it yet.

It's always been my contention that kinetics prevails. When the rifle suddenly recoils backwards, the static kinetics tends to keep the cartridge stationary - at least until the spring in the mag tube shoves them back. Consequently, primer detonation is dependent on the strength of the mag tube spri...

Glocks have polygonal rifle and tend to strip off lead. You can shoot lead in Glocks, but must be diligent about cleaning out the lead. My Desert Eagle, on the other hand, has 2 strikes against lead. It has polygonal rifling similar to Glocks, and being gas operated, it has a tiny gas port that can ...

When the recoil ceases, the mag spring would slam the cartridges back home. If this is correct, the probability of detonation is r...
