Re: New Marlin in Blue!
The new Marlin's have a half-cock safety, and a cross bolt or "hammer block" safety that only works in half-cock or full cock. I don't really see the harm in the addition of the cross bolt safety myself. The Henry's use a transfer-bar safety as Pillar mentioned was possible. I would like t...

Hi Weiler, welcome back and I enjoyed your pictures and set-up. You went to a lot of work to do all that, I'm impressed. It looks like the receiver of your #1 has some CCH? I wouldn't mind more rife pic's if you have them by chance, but don't trouble yourself to take new ones. Anyhow, nice job! -Tutt

I just ran Quick Load for the Barnes 200 grain TSX bullet. First best powder for velocity was Winchester 748 Powder (it generated a very different powder list from my 250 grain Hornady bullets!). You certainly can't go wrong there. One advantage to choosing a '94 is there are aftermarket stocks available in many choices. Most of the time they are "semi inletted" and will need final fitment. You could probably upgrade your wood, order it without checkering, and keep the original woo...

Had the spear tip made for me from a guy in Ukraine. I had him engrave it with "Slava Ukrainia" on one side and "Hyram Slava" on the other in Cyrillic (Glory to Ukraine, and its heros). I didn't like the shaft it came with, so I ordered up a staff made of Ipe wood (South African ...

Apparently from what I read regarding using 44 Mag brass, you have to thin the case mouth and the case head may be too small. I'm sure you are right and better options out there. That's a tough one. I did do a search and there might be some for sale from some unknown sellers but be very careful they are legit. 38-40 brass will work and you can get an alert set up at Graf and Sons. You can make it from 44 Mag brass but its a PITA. -Tutt

Gunny, I have. At least in the 10mm. The Glock chamber is unsupported in the 10mm unlike a 1911 in 10 which is fully supported and you can re-load the cases easily enough. This might be a non-issue in low pressure chamberings like 45 ACP. That being said, regarding the "Bulge Buster" from ...

It looks like a fun cartridge and rifle but not so good for reloading upon further research. Once fired brass is all t...

Hmmm, for ultra long range stuff, your best off with something in the 338 to 40 caliber. Hornady makes a really nice 390 grain A-Tip Match bullet in 375 that has a ridiculous BC of 0.987 and works in a typical 1:12 twist 375 H&H barrel but they recommend a 1:11 twist. I do like the idea of the 3...
