Re: Ram Big Horn eco diesel-powered
That page shows 1,398/7,800 for the Bighorn and 1,076/8,050 for the Laramie. I was looking at the Laramie. Enjoy the truck. I'm just glad they finally brought a smaller diesel to the US.

Re: Ram Big Horn eco diesel-powered
I'm not trying to pick a fight, and I hope it didn't come off like that. I looked at a quad cab Laramie 4x4 with ecodiesel. It lists payload at 1,076 lbs. That's with no accessories and a 150 pound driver. Put 4 230 pound guys in the truck and you have a whopping 306 pounds or cargo carrying capacit...

This is a lever guns forum but a lightweight AR or Mini 14 would do the trick. They are easily scoped, lightweight, rugged, easy to convert to .22, light weight ammo, and have all the power you will ever need for game in the Arkansas/Oklahoma mountains.

My experience mimics the OP and others. I reluctantly bought one and find in the swampy 90+ degree days it gets carried a lot motor then than even my compact S&W Shield. It shoots well and has been 100% reliable. I have both HP and FMJ loadings, but I carry Winchester factory FMJ-FP. My logic is...

Neat install, but you may have messed up your plan to shorten the barrel. I believe you shorten the barrel from the front and the mag tube from the back. That's a good idea. I played around with filling the pit in the stock with epoxy.
