Movie fails
We've all seen obvious gun mistakes in the movies, but this one just might take the cake. The movie is called "Birthright Outlaw" and it's set in 1890. Making matters even worse, he called that rifle a "Henry repeating rifle I took off a Union soldier during the war". Apparently ...

Missed it by that much!
I was watching a Charter Arms Bulldog 44 Spl on an auction for the last several days. It sat around 200 bucks and didn't have but a couple bids. I set a reminder on my phone to remind me to bid before the end last night. I messed up and didn't take the difference in time zone into account, so my ala...

I love my Garmin! I've used it with everything from 17 HMR to 375 H&H. It's never failed to pick up a shot, extremely easy to set up and use, and the app to get all the data to your phone is very simple too.
Not an inexpensive unit, but worth every penny for me.

I would get it secured in a solid vise and soak it with some good penetrating oil like Kroil for a few days. Then take a small punch and try tapping it from the side on that broken edge as far out from the center as you can get to get it to turn. If it's still a no-go then try a little heat from a h...

I had a Baby Browning that I got from a late Uncle. But foolishly used it as trade fodder for a levergun a few years ago. One of many gun regrets.

I think that's pretty common as we get older (wiser?) . I used to enjoy shooting heavy 45-70's, 375 H&H, heck even 470 Nitro Express. I couldn't tell you how long it's been since I shot a Ruger level 45-70 load. It's just not the thrill it used to be to shoot the big boomers. I much prefer 38/35...

Old leverguns can still shoot.
I picked up this old Colt SAA 38-40 a while back. I had it lettered and found out it shipped from the factory in 1902 as a 32-20. So I started searching and eventually found a correct barrel and cylinder on separate auctions. I got the barrel and cylinder swapped out, returning the old Colt to its p...

You are correct to expect more from that Marlin. Mine will consistently group around 1.5 moa with loads it likes. Have you checked the basics? Scope mounts tight? First thing I would do is mount a different scope and see if that helps. Another easy thing to do is remove a slight bit of material off ...
