Re: OT - I'm getting too old for this...

I couldn't agree more, but I try not to admit it. I have been spending a lot of time on a small island in the Philippines and last year at a party I did a little too much tequila. Instead of sleeping on the beach, brain went into homing pigeon mode, so I hopped on my small motorbike and set off for ...

Do like the ranger on my friend's lion breeding reserve, he also has elephant, rhino, cheetah, leopard, girafe and lots of game animals, whack it on the tusk with a pick axe handle. I kid you not and it is not a domestically reared elephant. Know your animals. If I knew how to put a picture on here ...

Thread drift; The Glock does have a manual safety, to engage it, take your finger off the trigger, to disengage it, put your finger on the trigger. I have owned Winchesters longer (that is time, not inches) than a Glock. My earlier ones don't have a safety catch.

That was good, I think I recognised 80% of the actors. Does this make me a really old fanny burp?

Re: POLITICS - Obama's latest - you won't believe this!

We have had 3 "Main" parties in the UK since the 1920s, but in the last 50 years only 2 of them have been in power, Labour and Conservative, the liberals have only had a balance of power on a couple of occasions (I think). But nothing in the last 40 years. That is 10 Presidents. So having ...

Re: Where were YOU on 9-11-2001?

I was working on my computer at home, (I was on sick leave) and stopped for a coffee, so I thought I would see if there was anything on the box. The first tower was burning and I thought it was a movie (no sound) then the second plane hit and I still thought it was a badly made film. Then I turned o...

I can't believe I scrolled down for the punch line, when I knew it was going to be awful. There is no throwing up smiley. But I have stolen this to put on my UK shooting forum. After posting Mace, I found this on our humour forum. this is long but funny. apparently someone found this on a bik...

Re: OT Land fit for Heroes??????????

As an ex squaddie I know about this treatment and Rudyard could spot all the prejudice quite well and he had an understanding of human nature . Some of the sentiments expressed by Jack Nicholson's character in "A few good men" were quite incisive. Civilians will never understand the milita...

Re: OT British Cop leaves Glock in Starbucks.

Proffesionals and guns! Very dangerous! I allways question myself as to why would someone want a job that the sole purpose involves shooting someone? But I can not defend myself with a weapon! Why do my tax's pay for blairs "protection" but none of my income can go to a similar form of pe...

I totally agree with the organiser but he hasn't a hope in hell for the reasons already stated. Maybe I am paranoid but no way will I add my name and address to a petition run from a goverment web site. Guess I will carry on with my own self defence measures as usual. Re: OT British Cop leaves Glock in Starbucks.

Hello one and all. My first post on this forum. A few years back, English armed respose unit officers, put their guns on the roof of their car, yep, they drove off and lost them at a roundabout. A law abiding citizen handed them in. :D I think it was before the hand gun ban in the UK. :x Tha...
