That was excellent, Doc. Thanks for the link. About 37 minutes in, one of the narrators discusses how slowly both sides became aware of the war-changing nature of the rifle musket. This is thoroughly and brilliantly discussed by Brett Gibbons (an officer on active duty with the U.S. Army) in "T...

Earl, as someone who rarely casts more than 100 at a time, that's a pile of boolits! I have had one Arsenal mold -- in brass -- and loved that thing. I confess to having mostly Lee molds but when I use an Arsenal or one of Tom's Accurates, I feel like I stepped up from a Ford Pinto to a Lincoln Town...

Walt, certainly Churchill lived a fascinating life. As an officer with the 21st Lancers at the Battle of Omdurman, he is alleged to have killed seven Dervishes from horseback with his Mauser C-96. I couldn't help myself and ordered a copy of his "River War, an Account of the Reconquest of the S...

Will, I am surprised to hear about poor reviews. The one I had indexed like a bank vault and seemed just as solid -- a lot nicer than the Lyman turret press I had prior. I agree with Doc that for the money the Lee is hard to beat. But the Redding felt to me like it would be in use a century from now.
