Re: Good news from the House

Steve: It is a bit of a can of worms. I sure wouldn't try to carry in Kalifornia unless I had a good legal team lined up pro bono. I also respect the fact that Utah's permit requires much more training as well as live fire than Oregon's, which simply requires attending a three-hour class.

Good news from the House

Just got this from my congressman, and it sounds like good news: On November 16, the House passed, with my support, the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 822) by a bipartisan vote of 272 – 154. Similar to how states recognizing drivers' licenses issued by other states, this bill requires...

Pitchy: Another finish option would be to go over the pine with epoxy and fiberglass or kevlar. Your sidecar would then be weather and bullet-proof -- and you could also take it fishing.

Perry: Sorry to hear of your tribulations. I just don't think it is right for a company to distribute products without carefully testing them, especially when we're talking firearms. Uberti usually does a little better than most, but they have had problems with their Winchester 1876 lever guns.

I've had a couple of Besses, a cut-down Miroku that was a wonderful shooter, and a Pedersoli. I don't think Besses get enough credit. They can be reasonably accurate out to 70 yards or so with a patched round ball, and most pattern very well with a shot load once you find your gun's sweet spot. If y...
