pure guess on my part. I think gilding metal is a little softer but more predictable. So, bullet makers can score the gilding metal where needed to assure more reliable expansion when compared to alloys with more pure copper.

I'm not a lawyer--my 2 cents only. I'd say a great benefit of an NFA trust is that a trust doesn't have to be a public document, so a properly created trust might give you more privacy concerning your toys. I am not a lawyer. My 2 cents only-- If the trust isn't properly maintained, there could be personal liability attributed to the beneficiaries. In Texas, an improperly registered silencer means serious jail time. Is it worth the risk to save a few hundred dollars instead of getting good legal advice?

My daughter shoots my FNP-40 better than anyone. She wants a .36 BP revolver, and she'll have it. My son has .308 bolt gun here at the house, and wants an FN SCAR. I'll find a way to afford that one also.
