With practice, that gun should do quite well, its amazing how well some of these small guns can shoot. I have a j-frame Smith model 60 that i've owned for probably 30yrs. Back then with younger eyes I could regularly keep 3 out of 5 rounds on a IPSC target at 100yds. More recently, I was at the rang...

Yeah, our only hope is because of the court action enough votes are swayed to HB148 which fell just a few votes shy of passage last time. Otherwise I look for Illinois to become a may issue state with the "may" few and far between.

I have a lot of fun out of my little Inland carbine, functions well, and mine will shoot into 3-4 inches from the bench at 100yds. Easy to load for, and with a soft point bullet, its a pretty effective cartridge for whatever I'd want to shoot here in Illinois.

Well, if i'm understanding the OP correctly, the concern for two legged varmints is greater than the 4 legged variety. If thats the case, I'll choose .45 over 9mm in a belt gun everytime. If the weight of a full size 1911 is that much of a problem, I'd consider a 4-4 1/4 inch gun with Alum frame. A ...

I have near 500rds through mine, and its never malfunctioned. Trigger is, to me, not that much different than my j-frame Smith and groups of 2-3 inches out to 10yds or so are easy with a bit of concentration. Carried in a pocket holster, it is awful handy to have around.
