Re: Blackhawk question
I would guess it would depend on wether you have that hollow above your belt to tuck that piece into. There are inside waistband holsters available. Me, I haven't seen that hollow place for probably 30yrs now!!!

Re: What are you going to deer hunt with?
I envy you guys with near unlimited choice. Here in Illinois, no centerfire rifles of any kind for deer. I'll use a 62# longbow for the most part, when it comes to firearm season, my choice will be either a .54cal muzzleloader or .44mag three screw Ruger Flattop.

If I was going to carry a PPK sized gun, I would probably choose something other than .380. However, as others have said, with modern ammo it can be an effective caliber. I carry it in the Ruger LCP, like the P3AT, about as small and light as you can get and even with the miniscule sights mine will ...

I remember reading Jeff Cooper, whom many considered the guru of 1911, say that all a 1911 needed was a good trigger and good sights. Mr. Cooper is credited with being the father of modern pistolcraft. He thought the standard issue sights on a stock original 1911 were too small to quickly pick up in...
