Help me out with something, and I mean no disrespect:
why is it impressive when a man supports his kids?
Isn't he supposed to? Personally, I'm not impressed by a man being a man.

NKJ,
I've thought about using a light on the end of my alley sweeper.
What concerns me is the fact that the BG will know right where I am due to the light.
How do you deal with that?

Recall a suicide attempt I attended one night involving a shotgun. For some reason the guy varied from the norm & instead of putting the muzzle to his chin or head, he put it against his chest. Don't know which exact birdshot round he used, but a birdshot hunting load it was & from his hunt...

If a BG in my house can run after 8 loads of hi-velocity #5 shot he deserves to get away.
My house isn't that big, so shot distances would be kinda cozy.
But I'll bet he leaves a healthy blood trail for follow up.

It's a good question to ask.
Where do I look to get some history of the 1899?

IMHO, most of the prices given so far are current boom market value, I predict a falling price on the 71 rush in the next year or so. I don't see you giving $3K for a 71 in any condition other than in the factory box and 99%, where you could ever recoup your money in the next decade. My opinion is:...
