I have a M71 Winchester Deluxe. Made in 1946. The bluing has some wear but looks good. Everything is as should be with the exception of a Pachmayr recoil pad. What would be a fair asking price for this gun?

My cuz in Kentucky had a feist, a good one. This was 55 years ago. When we went squirrel huntin' we took his sister along.
She was so ugly she would scare the squirrels to death. We didn't have to shoot 'em.

I was going to buy a 20 ga. from a friend. That thing was so hard to break open, I could hardly do it without using my knee.
Is there a way to loosen one of these things up? I didn't buy it. I was wanting a 20 ga. O/U but not this one.

I asked him the same, could that have been a 35 or 38 instead of a 37.
He said, no, it was a 37. I didn't question it farther. After all, this happened in 1945.......He's well into his 80's now, but still going strong and has a good head on him.
I expect he is mistaken, but thats ok too.
