Need a little info
Anyone here a CA 01 FFL?
Reason I ask is that I "may" need to ship a Colt 1908 Vest Pocket to TPRK and need to know what I have to do on my end.
I DO know that ANY firearm, long or short coming into CA must go through a 01 FFL. From there it's between that dealer and the buyer.
TIA

Around here the pawn shops also ask "top dollar" for "beaters". My only real "deal" lately was this little '01 Argie Cavalry Carbine. I bought it half for the rifle, half for the Native art. $199 on the tag, got it for less than half that. http://photobucket.com/Argie91

Google "35 Whelen Garand" and .358-'06 Garand and there's lots of info. (Nothing new under the sun) With the increase in bore space charges can be upped under 225-250 gr bullets and still maintain safe operating pressures. I personally don't want to have to buy too many op rods at $125.00-...

After slugging your throats, slug your barrel...carefully. Pay CLOSE attention to where the barrel threads into the frame. Many times rather than face off the front of the frame a thou or two, the wrench gorillas just torque the barrel tighter to get it into alignment. Over torquing causes the frame...
