Where'd you get those placemats? We have some just like that which were made by my mom's friend in Texas.
Don't know where those are from. Girlfriend thought I needed placemats, so those showed up. I always thought a paper towel was good enough.

My girlfriend's Brother found this one at Academy Sports but I've seen them other places. The Supermarket where I work had some back in the Summer.

When Marlin first introduced the Cowboy line I thought they were all 26" barrels. I've seen and shot a couple of the .45-70 versions, but have never seen one in .38-55. Might be a good thing or one of my plastic cards would suffer a major blow! IMO, if the one you friend mentioned is inde...

Yep. I have it in a 21" carbine configuration.

265 gr Mountain Molds GC over 19.0 (IIRC) of 2400 will DEFINATELY get your attention in a 5 lb rifle.

Nice old boxes, especially since they're full! I have a few boxes of old ammo, most are partial boxes, but I keep them just because... I really like the "art" on the old boxes. "New" .30-30 ammo is cheap enough, and it's easy enough to reload that I'd just hang on to those becaus...

New "Lever" for Christmas

OK, so it's not really a Win or Marlin, but you should see the fire come out the end of the "barrel". It "reloads" through the buttplate. No, that's not a Mexican blanket, it's a placemat on my kitchen table. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j45/Yance_2006/Centennial...

Re: barrel blank fit

O.K., I tapped the ladder sight out . left to right, no problem. I put the Marble's barrel blank in right to left, problem!!! It just slides right through, in one side out the other? These barrel blanks come in sizes? Or am I missing some fact ( as usual). Do like some of the old timers I know did....

Re: OT dumb reloading question.

I asked this on the old forum and didn't get to see the answer so I will ask again. Santa brought me a melting pot so I can start making bullets. looking for 30-1 mix. I have lead and I have tin so I can make it but I was wondering what ratio does most wheel weights come out to?? Also What lube do ...

I WOULD PICK A 20" BARREL OVER A TRAPPER EVERYDAY ANYDAY. THE LARGE LOOP LEVER IS ONLY SLIGHTLY MORE WORTHLESS THAN MAMARIES ON A STUD HORSE. MY ROSSI 45COLT LEVERGUN SHOOTS LIKE A MILLION BUCKS AND HAS HAD NOTHING BUT 45COLT HEAVY LOADS SHOT THROUGH IT. Terry; How 'bout a little insight on yo...

OK, this morning's fun. #1, Fireformed .348 cases are TUFF to FL resize. Even with a Rockchucker and Imperial I had to size halfway, relube, and finish. Smoked the shoulder with a candle flame and set the sizer die to just "kiss" the shoulder, leaving an even ring of soot about 1/16" ...

[quote But darn I hope RCBS will replace my resizing die. It might have been cracked before I got it, who knows.[/quote] Many times RCBS will replace dies or parts with a simple phone call. You probably won't even have to send the cracked die back first. They may want it to inspect but will probably...

45-75 caseforming OOPS!

OK, readin' and learnin', and learnin' the hard way. Expanded, trimmed, expanded some more, trimmed some more, and finally ran 50 348 cases through the Lyman FL sizer. Left the cases .100 too long, (need to write stuff down), "finish" trimmed them to 1.900. Loaded up 26.0 gr SR4759 under t...

That's like the "best" one I have, but mine doesn't have a name, only stamped 1/8"-5/8". I learned the hard way (when I misplaced my "good" one) to avoid the ones that use a "V" block instead of rollers. Both should be available at you local Lowe's or Home Dep...

Might solve a lot of headaches for the "trim challenged". I've found that a "Micro Tubing Cutter" saves a LOT of work for the "trim challenged" among us. I use mine after moving the shoulder back on .30 and .357 Herret cases. A simple stop can be "C" clamped ...
