Re: Browning bl22 with oct barr
The oct. barrel rifle is much longer (24", I think) compared to the 20" carbine. This would give a better sight radius if using open or peep sights. I have a 39A Marlin which I shortened to 18" to reduce front end weight, due to my dodgy shoulders. It is very twitchy with open sights,...

Re: Rossi .454 question
I don't own one, but all the threads I have read suggest that you have the same problem as shooting 38 spl in a 357 or 44 spl in a 44 mag, and that is that the chamber needs a real good scrubbing after shooting a large amount of the shorter cases. I have also read a number of threads which suggest t...

I generally start with starting loads in a manufacturers manual, like Alliant, ADI, Lyman, Lee's second ed. then work up from there. You'd think a country that's been through a few good wars would know the value of keeping a well armed militia, but not Britain. If their demands are legal then I guess your only option is to buckle to them or say adios. On the other hand if the demands contravene your rights in some way you could point this fact out to them. If you don't have time to work it out, IE they want you to sign today, you could sign, then investiga...

Don't underestimate a standard poodle. They are a German hunting dog, not a French madams lapdog. They can be quite protective of their people, and have been Schutzhund trained. Would you be better off cutting the center out of the top rim so that the pot sits down in the rim, closer to the fire.
You'd get more heat and also a lower center of gravity for what potentially could be a very heavy pot.
