Re: PAY IT FORWARD
Looks like the sight could use a kick start again as it's slowed down as of late. Surely we haven't cleaned out all of our "collection" drawers yet. Well I'm about to move and am packing my precious goods up and I found a set of 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum dies that i just don't need. They ...

Re: Average Hunting Shot Distance
I really get a thrill out of getting close to animals, even if I'm not hunting, so for me Bowhunting was a natural draw. I once shot a young buck that was literally less than 25 feet from me as he was directly below my tree stand. Now that said, I do have a 7mm RUM taht I've used for hunting Elk in ...

Re: My latest acquisition
The half round /half octagon is a very rare configuration. I want to say that less than 1,000 total rifles had the feature, and that may be a high number. I have a nice 45-70 that dates to 1897. It is a half round with the short magazine tube and a 26" barrel, shotgun butt. Letters out as all o...

Re: POLITICS - Justice...
Since I first read about this I've spent countless hours thinking about my own children. I was fortunate to be able to spend all day Sunday with them, they are my treasures. Yeah they make me mad at times and do dumb things, but my folks will tell you I probably did the same. There is a lot of child...

In my opinio, this piece of absolute worthless ____ got off too easy and had I been one of the passersby he would have been dead before the cops got there. TURLOCK, California (AP) -- Police killed a 27-year-old man as he kicked, punched and stomped a toddler to death despite other people's attempts...

Boil it in water and dishsoap to get the grease out of the skull. Pick and scrape along the way, plan on spending a good portion of the day. Also might wish to boil outside on a camp stove in an old kettle as it tends to smell. After it's clean here's the trick, wrap the skull in paper towel and lib...

Age is the great deciever. It comes with the promise of the wisdom of the ages but often falls well short of that. Your struggle is not unique, in fact we all must one day share in your plight. My own father is 84, a veteran of the great depression, WWII, and the coming of the age where the United S...

i wish you would have posted prior to buying as i am the owner of a '99 jetta and wouldn't give 2 nickles for another one. It is by the far the best engineered piece of junk we have ever bought. Yeah I know I could sell it and get something else, so call me the fool. Bottom line, I think they're junk.

The bullet molds from my previous post are back up for grabs. They had been dibbed by dajudge, but as I have not gotten an address and I see where he has claimed about 4-5 things here recently and offered up just 1, I think it's fair to share the bounty. If anyone has a problem with this, post your ...

It's called a 45/90 for a reason, 90 grains of powder in a .45 caliber bullet. Just shoot Black and forget about it. i can load about 82 grains compressed beneath a 405 FP and hang with anyone shooting smokeless. Clean up is easy...simple green on a cotton patch. Bore Butter to store and call it goo...

I believe the king is and shall remain the 1886 by John Browing. I have one circa 1897 that is still as fit a fighter as my most modern factory rifle. Amazing to think the first one was carved from wood and sold for pennies on the dollar. It's a Wi nchester by name but a Browning at heart. My hats o...

Like most everyone I know that hunts and shoots, I like gear, and good gear. I want to tell everyone here that I have used a Badland Pack exclusively for the past three years and find it by far the most solid, dependable made backpack I've ever owned. I just recently purchased a smaller waist pack a...
