Midway is like anywhere else. Some prices are good some aren't. But if your patient Midway will usually have something on sale at agood price that you need. The other thing is that they seem to keep a lot of inventory so you can do one stop shopping instead of paying shipping from 2 or 3 other place...

There is a few things I notice about the new mossberg that makes me think it can handle higher pressures. First one of the weak links in the Win angle ejects was that they cut down the right side of the receiver for angle ejection . This gave aweak point on that side of the receiver with less metal ...

The reason we got rid of wolves in the first place is that we compete for the same food. I shoot coyotes because they eat grouse and I eat grouse . Am I wrong . I don't know but it's reality. Until you have wolves circling you while your in the woods , then you'll know what your comfort level is sha...

I downloaded the article and it is worth the read and the pictures show a Win look alike, but the bolt area has competely different look. With the round bolt and rear bridge. It looks like a pretty impressive effort by Mossberg to me. I'm not sure how a tranfer bar would move out of the way when the ...

I know Remington makes the accelerator ammo. But can you buy just the sabots for reloading?

I reload , so I won't load to max but will give me room to play. I've always wanted a 22-250 so I bias toward it. Plus the 223 is offered in the same rifle platforms as 22-250 , so price is the same. I'm not sure how much I'm going to shoot this so I'm going in on budget. The least expensive 22-250 ...

OT - Is 22-250 a good choice for bench shooting?
My neighbors like to do bench shooting at 200 to 300 yards. One of them has a 22-250 the other 25-06. I was looking at a 22-250 because of bullets seem quite a bit cheaper than 25 cal. Is there a down side for this round ?

The 30-30 holds 44.5 grains of water. The 30-30 AI holds 46.63 grains of water. The 307 win holds 56.69 grains of water. I believe the 308 MX is around 51 grains. This just gives you reference on much more capacity your adding. But the advantage is less bolt thrust with the straight wall case. Thus ...

The 308mx is going to be a little lighter to carry around. So they are different tools for different jobs. You are going to have to figure out what kind of hunting your going to be doing. The 308mx is readily available that I've seen and sell for around $500. I think you would happy with either one....

William, the 100 grain speer doesn't have crimp groove. You must have a case full of powder to keep the bullet from moving while in the magazine tube. I was going to get my glenfield rebarreled to 25-35 AI last spring but my smith didn't want to do it. So I was planning on doing a 7-30 waters. But n...

Single six ruger should shoot better than this.
I loaded up 15 loads of 4gr of unique under 85 gr hornady in my ruger 32 H&R mag. Using a rest it consistantly shot one inch to the right at 10 yards. It doesn't have adustable sights. Has anyone had any experience with Ruger to fix this or is this within there specs?

The wolfe reduced hammer springs work great , if you have a coil spring. You can do the same thing with the leaf spring. To reduce the tension of a leaf spring you want to make it narrower.
