Midway is like anywhere else. Some prices are good some aren't. But if your patient Midway will usually have something on sale at agood price that you need. The other thing is that they seem to keep a lot of inventory so you can do one stop shopping instead of paying shipping from 2 or 3 other place...

I reload , so I won't load to max but will give me room to play. I've always wanted a 22-250 so I bias toward it. Plus the 223 is offered in the same rifle platforms as 22-250 , so price is the same. My neighbors like to do bench shooting at 200 to 300 yards. One of them has a 22-250 the other 25-06. I was looking at a 22-250 because of bullets seem quite a bit cheaper than 25 cal. Is there a down side for this round ?

It might not happen all at once. It could take a few days to do. Don't force it. If it doesn't come soak with kroil for a day and repeat. Be patient.A gunsmith wouldn't charge that much to do it. An hours labor.

Wouldn't rebarreling be a better option . I would think the barrel would get pretty thin going to a 375 bore. I think 38-72 is great idea . I thought one of the issues with reboring is the heat and and getting a straight bore.

On my trapper I use the WGRS sight with ghost ring and it works great. I think it only runs about $12 for the base and $5 for the ghost ring.

The 308mx is going to be a little lighter to carry around. So they are different tools for different jobs. You are going to have to figure out what kind of hunting your going to be doing. The 308mx is readily available that I've seen and sell for around $500. I think you would happy with either one....

If the 444 doesn't say mirco groove on the barrel . Then it should have the 1-20 twist verses the older 1-38 . Which will give you tighter groups. I would say make the trade.

Single six ruger should shoot better than this.

I loaded up 15 loads of 4gr of unique under 85 gr hornady in my ruger 32 H&R mag. Using a rest it consistantly shot one inch to the right at 10 yards. It doesn't have adustable sights. Has anyone had any experience with Ruger to fix this or is this within there specs?

If the front sight is dovetailed you can get any number of sights from Midway,Brownells, or Buffalo Arms. If your front sight is pinned in place then you might have to make one.
