I think there may be another factor involved as well. When I first found this great place , I was using a fancy Packard Bell computer with a super fast 286 processor , it had a huge 40 mega- bite memory and accessed the internet with a blazing 14 ( whatever it was ) dial-up modem. I'd look at your primers for evidence of light strikes, and check your crimp, which can facilitate full ignition. Firing pin protrusion and headspace might also be worth a loo...

Interesting! Is the ring sterling silver, plated, or?
Reason I ask is that sterling seems to be relatively soft.
If using a sterling spoon, would it be likely to hold up well
over time, and would heating it still be required?
Thanks for sharing!

Speaking PURELY hypothetically, I'd differ from most here. I'd take a Win. 94 due to .30-30's extra range and penetration. Howdy, yes, that plate should slide up and down. When they have been in place for many years without being moved, old congealed oil, etc will stick them into place. If the rifling is strong and the crown is good, I would expect it to shoot well with jacketed bullets. The 1910 rifle I mentioned earlier belonged to a friend. I examined the bore for him with a Hawkeye borescope, and was horrified. He'd been jammed by a Gunbroker seller who said the bore was "...

The twist, IIRC, is 1:8", to stabilize the long 117 gr. RN bullets at relatively slow speed. While a pitted bore will ruin cast bullet accuracy quickly, the relatively heavy jacket and long bearing surface of the .25-35 bullet appears to be pretty forgiving of a bad bore. (This is based on my l...

I'm curious to ask, when using cartridges like .25-20, .32-20 and .357 magnum on the pistol caliber targets, is there a velocity limitation to prevent target damage?
