Perhaps if Mr. Baldwin would have taken an NRA Firearms Safety Course instead of spending his time trashing the NRA and pushing for more gun bans he would have checked the gun the moment it was handed to him.

That is true Scott. I have done it myself. Last one I shot I used my 1st Generation Colt with Lyman #454190 and a full load of black powder. Instant drop and complete penetration of the skull, top to bottom.

The 454 will do it! In 1986 Dick Casull demonstrated what he said was "the most" that you could run a 260 gr. cast bullet from the 454. He was punching them through 3/8" plate steel.

Ha ha.. the spring that powered the cylinder bolt was fractured.. the spring hand on that side fell off when I unscrewed it. Yes I got it to unscrew after lots of penetrating oil! Now that I understand the EAA Bounty Hunter is just a Hawes with a transfer bar safety. I'll see if they still make BH ...
